Hello...

In 1989, Carol embarked on a heartfelt journey and opened a small shop in Northampton called Crystal Clear. Her passion for crystals & gemstones was infectious and she wanted to share this world with others and inspire them through the beauty she had discovered.

Carol wanted her customers to truly appreciate the significance behind each gemstone so she started including information about the meaning and symbolism of the gemstones, allowing people to connect on a deeper level with their jewellery.

In 2000, fate intervened when Carol joined forces with Gillian, and together they birthed the brand known as Charmology. The demand for gemstone charms was overwhelming, and Charmology, with its touch of magic, became the perfect name and mantra for their creation. The company flourished, reaching customers in 35 countries worldwide.

But Carol and Gillian's journey took a significant turn. At the beginning of 2015. They made a profound decision—a promise to never purchase newly mined gemstones again for Charmology. Their hearts could no longer bear the burden of supporting a mining process that exploited both fellow humans and our precious planet. It was time for a change.

With unwavering determination, Carol and Gillian embarked on a new chapter in Charmology's story. They changed the name to Mudita (which means basically when you're happy - I'm happy because you're happy) embraced the path of sustainability, vowing to use only recycled or re-purposed gemstones and beads made from ethical & sustainably sourced products.

At Mudita, we believe that the magic of our jewellery goes beyond its mere physical beauty. It carries a deeper purpose—a purpose that uplifts not only the wearer but also our shared future.

Through our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, we strive to create a positive impact on the world around us. By embracing recycled and re-purposed gemstones and using environmentally friendly materials, we contribute to the preservation of our precious planet. We seek to inspire others to join us on this journey towards a more conscious and sustainable way of living.

In wearing our jewellery, you become part of this transformative movement. Each piece carries with it a story of compassion, respect for nature, and a desire to protect both people and the Earth. It is through this collective effort that we envision a brighter future—a future where beauty and sustainability harmoniously coexist, leaving a legacy of love and mindfulness for generations to come.

Join their community of kindred spirits, where inspiration and stories are shared, and connections are made. Together, let us pave the way for a future where beauty and sustainability coexist harmoniously.

This is us...

We both are massively inspired and uplifted and well...love the teachings of the Buddha and try to live our life by them.

We learn the teachings of the Buddha through Burgs. If you are interested in finding out how the Buddhist philosophy could impact your life, (and it will!) you could visit his website: www.theartofmeditation.org
